If you do wish to work more than 48 hours per week, you need to sign the agreement below. If you change your mind about this later, you will need to inform the operations manager in writing, giving 3 months notice, so that your rosters may be amended.
The directive states that the security industry is not bound to comply with regulations relating to night workers working longer than eight hours in twenty four, rest periods of eleven hours per day or one day per week or a rest period every six hours worked, provided that you are allowed the same rest at a later time.
If, however, you wish to work and be paid for rather than take rest breaks, you can do so, provided that there is work available and you have this signed agreement.
